Drivers in the National Capital region continued to have difficulty dealing with greasy and chilly roads Saturday.
Police forces on both sides of the Ottawa River and on the highways continue to report crashes through the day, as drivers did not appear to alter their habits to deal with the adverse conditions.
The most serious appeared to be a collision at Orléans Boulevard and Forest Valley Drive in the east end.
Paramedics were required to immobile the make driver of one of the cars and administer treatment for spinal injuries.
There was no immediate word on the man’s condition.
The situation was calmer than Friday’s madness when there were more than 72 crashes in a 24-hour period following a brief dusting of snow.
But police repeated their warnings to exercise caution.
The driver of this car suffered spinal injuries in a crash at Orléans Boulevard and Forest Valley Drive Saturday.
