:D

I feel it's quite interesting that on one side, a lot of immigrants couldn't find a job here, but on the other side, still a lot of people want to immigrants. Looks like the Wei Cheng in the novel, the peolpe outside would like to get in and inside would like to get out.

I do feel that the government should do one thing better and earlier, which is to take better care of the immigrants who already settle down in Canada, not just play with the criterions. That will only cause more problems for both the country and the immigrants. Don't just try to buy the votes to let more immigrants in, but then leave them alone to live the miserable life. This change will make those immigrant lawyers more happy as they can squeeze more money from you guys.

My personal opinions is that Canada should reduce immigrants directly from other countries but instead enrolling more young students to study here in the college and univ (not just languages schools). This on the one side could ease the education expense reduction from the government as foreign students tuitions could make up the reduction part. One the other side, for the students, they will have time to choose the right majors and improve their English and also have more time to get used to this society and prepare for the job merket. Then after graduation from univ, the government should grant their immigrants status. I feel that the students will be easy to
settle in this society after living here for several years than those direct immigrants. They are just my opinions.

Anyway more choices are better than fewer. But before you take this choice, think about it carefully.

Good luck.

International student will definitely benefit more from this policy change.

Before 1974, after study for 5 years, international student was granted permanent status automatically. I think this should be restored. It was much preferrable than get a 38 years old from Asia.
