Ottawa paramedics were called to rush a 56-year-old pedestrian to hospital after they were struck by a car near the intersection of Greenbank Road and Lisa Avenue early Thursday morning.
Police and paramedics responded to reports of the collision on the rainsoaked streets shortly after 7 a.m.
When they arrived they found the pedestrian with “moderate trauma” to the head.
The victim was immediately transported to an area hospital for treatment.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
