Woman suffers burns putting out kitchen fire

A Drumso Street woman managed to snuff out a kitchen fire Wednesday but suffered burns to her hands, Ottawa firefighters said.

Fire crews were dispatched to the home at 8:36 p.m. after a neighbour reported the fire. The fire was out when firefighters arrived.

They tended to the woman’s injuries until paramedics arrived and took her to hospital.
