A 54-year-old Owen Sound man faces a number of charges, including drunk driving, after a tractor-trailer loaded with bottled water left Highway 7 in the Perth area early Thursday.
OPP say the dramatic single-vehicle crash occurred at about 4:30 a.m. on Highway 7 in Tay Valley Township.
The trailer burst on contact, spraying the bottled water cargo across a nearby field.
The tractor also spilled a quantity of diesel fuel into wetlands, police say. Ministry of the enviroment officials are working on a cleanup.
David Reesor is charged dangerous driving and two drunk-driving related charges. He was released on a promise to appear.
Removal of the wreckage continues.
