One person is dead following a Friday afternoon house fire in Orléans.
Ottawa paramedics said Friday the person died as a result of burns so significant they weren’t able to provide information about age or gender.
Old Montreal Road was closed briefly between Dairy Drive and Famille-Laporte Avenue as firefighters battled the blaze, which was reported sometime after 2 p.m.
The fire marshal has been called in to investigate.
