Ottawa police were called to reports of shots fired near Wiggins Private at about 11:23 p.m. Thursday.
Central district investigators were sent to the Sandy Hill incident, but police said soon after that it had no other information to release.
Minutes later, Gatineau police responded to a shooting at an apartment building on Rue Daniel-Johnson.
At 11:30 p.m., they responded to reports of gunfire aimed the apartment building and found shell casings at the scene.
Witnesses reported seeing a white Dodge Caravan van with tinted windows.
There were no reported injuries or arrests in either incident.
