A body was found Sunday on the side of westbound lanes of Highway 417 near the Rockdale Road interchange, about 30 kilometres east of Ottawa, Ontario Provincial Police said.
Police closed the westbound lanes between the Limoges and Rockdale Road exits around 2:30 p.m. and investigators from the forensics, traffic collision and Russell County crime unit were summoned to the scene.
Police released no details about the victim and were unable to say how long motorists would be detoured around the scene.
