An unidentified man was shot Sunday night in a residence on Meaghan Private, near Hunt Club Road in the southern section of Ottawa.
Ottawa Paramedic Service said in a tweet that the man was in critical condition after aggressive resuscitation by paramedics. The post also said paramedics received the call at 8:46 p.m., but referred the matter to Ottawa police for further information.
The only posting from police as of Sunday evening said that one male was injured and that Meaghan Private was closed between Marnie and Jessica. The public was asked to avoid the area.
