Gatineau police warned of road closures on part of Maloney Boulevard on Tuesday morning where a cyclist was struck by driver who fled the scene but was later located.
The cyclist, a 41-year-old Gatineau man, was rushed to the Hull hospital but his injuries aren’t considered life-threatening.
Police say they were called to the hit-and- run at Maloney and Main Street just before 2:20 a.m.
They managed to find the suspect and had him in custody at the police station Tuesday morning.
Maloney remained closed between Main and Oak streets during the Tuesday morning commute as police analyzed the scene. There was a detour in place and officers were directing traffic, police said.
