Ottawa Fire Services say there were no injuries in a stubborn two-alarm fire in an east end high-rise apartment building early Friday.
Crews responded to 2020 Jasmine Cres. shortly before 1 a.m. and were greeted by heavy smoke in the building’s garbage room.
Firefighters began an aggressive attack and called a second alarm for more gear and personnel.
The fire was declared under control after about an hour.
There was no damage estimate available and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
