John Locke 可不是一个Utilitarian, 而中国现在的主流思维是彻头彻尾的 Utilitarianism。

但是,当这种“不对”,面临着大多数公民的喜悦和福祉的时候, 就变得无足轻重了, 那就只好让那些人被狮子吃掉了呗。 也许会有极少数公民心里觉得让狮子吃人此事不妥, 但是, 也就是私字一闪念而已, 转眼就会被斗兽场里的厮杀带来的巨大快感所淹没了。
那些占中国人口极少数的被白色恐怖者, 那些违背其意愿而被侵犯的女性们, 那些被权贵强取豪夺了利益的一小撮人们,那些被强拆的业主们。。。 他们就是 “the Christian thrown to the lions”;
而那些奔走在街头、车站、机场,为自己的生意忙碌, 为自己的资产增值的普罗大众们,那些因为攀附上了权贵而大发横财的小人物们。。。 他们就是 “the ecstatic Romans”.
The certain rights that minority members have or the individual has , will be traded off for the sake of utility.
这就是中国传统的集体主义与改革开放以后的猫论所代表的功利主义相结合的必然结果。
