A pair of Ottawa men face charges of possessing cocaine for the purpose of trafficking after the car they were traveling in was stopped for speeding on Highway 401.
Grenville County OPP report that officers stopped the westbound Hyundai Accent at about 9:30 p.m. Friday near the exit to Maitland, which is about 100 kilometres southwest of Ottawa.
“Further investigation” turned up drugs, police allege.
Moustafa Kazan, 21, and Brahim Zeitoun, 19, were also charged with possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana. Kazan is additionally charged with failure to comply with an undertaking and Zeitoun with a charge of possession of an identity document.
Both are scheduled to appear in court in Brockville on May 11.
