Two Ottawa men are accused of possessing pot for the purpose of trafficking after being pulled over for speeding in North Algona Wilberforce Township on Saturday.
OPP in Killaloe reported that officers stopped the pair on Highway 60 around 10:20 p.m.
The driver was found to be breaching bail conditions and officers then found what they suspected to be pot in the car, the OPP said.
Yasin Ibrahim, 26, was charged with two counts of failing to comply with a recognizance and possession of less than three kilograms of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
His passenger, 18-year-old Yousuf Abdillahi, was charged with possession of less than three kilograms of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
The vehicle was towed. The men were released on a promise to appear for a Feb. 14 court date in Killaloe, which is about 165 km west of Ottawa.
