5-11岁儿童疫苗, 美国有510万接种, 发现8例心肌炎, 有200+万己双针(12月16日数据更新)

网上看到各国很多支持疫苗的政客都赚得盆满钵满。
 
12月5日，安省学校报告173例病例，自从本学期9月份开始以来，安省中小学报告8095例，其中7187例为学生。其中87%为小学，相比之下，小学12岁以下刚刚才有资格接种，而高中则报告13%病例，从这个侧面也可证实疫苗的有效性。

 
我个人的看法(非专业非官方), 在本学年到6月结束之前, 安省儿童几乎都会得一遍新冠, 除非学校关闭。

1、印度疫情严重, 据说90%以上人口都测出抗体了, 那就是已经几乎人人过关。
2、英国疫情比印度强点, 但在发达国家里算严重的, 到8月底的时候测出儿童大部分己得过新冠, 所以当时英国给12-15岁儿童只打一针, 相当于自然免疫后的booster, 最近出了omicron后才又加第2针。
3、Monitoba省比英国强, 但到目前已有14%儿童确诊, 根据测抗体实际感染约50%左右。

In an ETimes Lifestyle exclusive with Dr Shriram Nene urged that while the adult population in India is rapidly getting vaccinated, it’s time that we start vaccination drives for children too. “In the US, children in the age groups of 5-18 are getting vaccinated and we need it for our kids too.”

Why was vaccination for kids not prioritized across the world​

It is believed that children are able to fight COVID better than adults and that’s a big reason why they were not in the priority list for getting vaccinated. While there is incredibly small data on kids getting seriously ill from COVID, we need take into consideration that their risk is not zero.

It is also important to note that all COVID vaccines were rolled out faster than any vaccine before. Therefore, there is no confirmed evidence that there will be no side effects of this vaccine.

Why are countries extending COVID vaccination to kids now​

Researchers in the UK have been insisting on not just one dose for children 12 years of age and above, but two shots. This is because they feel that in case Omicron spreads faster and more easily, we can protect children from getting infected, as it is still not known if this variant is more severe than the previous ones. Data on this is still awaited.

Immunisation is the key right now​

If the disease doesn't have a host, it cannot replicate. So immunisation should be our top priority right now. When we reduce the pool of hosts, it reaches an endemic level where even if we get the virus, we won’t get severely affected.
