连这个都根本没有必要用，
拿到发电机后仔细看一下说明，每一个发电机的输出口都装Surge protector，所以你根本没必要再装一个，所以那些瞎了了的人给你的耸人听闻的特别情况根本就出不了发动机。

正规厂家发电机，如果把人家电器损害了，特别是输出电压太高导致火灾，北美大家都知道，厂家不赔死才怪。
北美那么多人，水平参差不齐，很多人根本不看说明书，他们有电不接手机电脑，我才不信。
刚刚查了一下inverter，好处主要是效率高，输出功率可控，坏处是功率一般较小

我查了几个普通的发电机说明书，没有一个说不能接电脑等等设备，连警告也没有，而且说明书上还写了电脑等设备的用电功率，如果发电机损害这些设备，这些厂家会被起诉的。

surge protector 根本原理应该是当电压输入过高，protector自己击穿避免了用电的电器出问题，一般击穿后，保护功能就失效了。如果经常有非常大的surge，这个就会失效

对，GAS GENERATOR 不能接computer是某人说法，以前没听说过。

已经买了的普通发动机当然不需要换。毕竟很少能用上。如果有其他需要，比如想买 tri fuel 的， 没有inverter， 那也没有办法。
只要有可能，买新的肯定选 inverter。 价钱比普通发动机贵不了多少，省的油钱上就赚回来了 没啥好说的。

inverter好处是输出功率随着使用功率而调节，所以效率更高，而普通发电机可能是恒定输出功率。
很多网上说普通发电机不能用电脑等电器，感觉是厂家想卖贵的给大家，如果普通发电机大规模损害电脑等设备，使用手册上封面会大写警告⚠。
真要那么小心，普通发电机接一个surge protector就可以了。
看了发电机说明书，上面说每周要发动几分钟，或者要清空汽油，太麻烦了，最好还是用propane或者天然气的

老实讲我对是否省油是有问题的，能看到的就是说inverter会根据负载变化调整功率，但是我100%的确认generator至少现在卖的generator也都是100%根据负载变化调整功率的，而不是恒定在一个功率，这和是是不是inverter没有关系，事实上所有标注有starter功率的发电机都有这个功能，就是在短时间里可以承受发动机功率两倍的负载，一边发动机可以提速提供更大的功率。就是用一个大starter电容来实现这个功能。除非inverter里面装有电池否则以应该也是用这个方法实现变功率。所以还是要有一定的电力知识而不是在Internet上查文章。我猜可能在很多年以前generator是只能提供固定功率的。我说很多年前是因为至少10年前，我就没有再看到过没有stater功率的发电机了

现在卖的generator都是变功率的，你看一下续航时间都是50%workload来算的
