So you think those painful experience you had before is not caused by this government, but by someone else. Now China is making progress doesn't mean this government had no fault in the past. It's correcting its fault by its previous leader. To understand its past problem is for going forward.

We all like China to be strong, but it doesn't mean that we shouldn't think about the past. On the other side, a strong country doesn't mean it should only have nuclear power, it means it respect its people, it means ordinary people has the equal right. That could make it has a sustainable progress, not just for a short period. I feel many of us are pretty narrow minded in this aspect. So you would think IRAQ and North Korea will be strong countries if they have nuclear weapon, yes for sure American won't dare to invaed them, but how about their people, are they better off just because they have nuclear weapon. Remember when you have those miserable expereince, China already has nuclear weapon.

I am not trying to say China shouldn't be strong. I am trying to say that building a good society is far more important than having some nuclear weapons. A strong China today is only strong at having some nuclear weapons, or having a better economic, it has a long way to go before it become a real strong country in all aspects. That is someday when you won't see any miserable life in the countryside, when you see people respect each other, when you see all kids are well educated.

talk to Bush and tell him to get rid of nukes, hope u succeed.

很对,不要总是埋怨他,没有他,也就没有了中国

如果他当初不纵容中国人民乱生小孩，就不会有今天的人口压力

那位说没有核武器的兄弟.我觉得核武器只是一个把戏,一个工具.是国与国,民族也民族之间竞争的一个产物.世界的国家关系就是复杂.那是外交的手段,外交的词令.大家的目的都是为了自己的强大.美国的军权是为了巩固自己在世界上霸主的地位.中国的军事发展也是为了自己在世界上能有一席之地.毕竟军事是最关键的武器.中国是个13亿人口的大国,不可能像瑞士那样不要军事,努力发展自己.也许清朝就是类似那样的,但是中国的诱惑太大了,脆弱的清朝军事致使我们有了痛苦辛酸的历史.中国是大国主义,和韩国,瑞士采区的警戒思维不同,我们需要强大.不仅是经济上的,而且要军事上的. 双拳有力了,不去打别人,至少别人也不敢来欺负.对于中国取得的成就我真是优种的感到辛未和自豪.在神5降落的时候我真是激动的留泪,我们做为中国人,想着"好汉不提当年勇",为中国今后的强大努力吧.历史已不能更改,未来我可以改变.我不希望什么台独能在我们这一辈人手中实现,也不希望中国积累的成就和成绩在我们这一辈人手中被消灭.我只是想进我的所能去建设去强大我们的祖国.我是中国人.中国有过惨痛的历史,有过曾经的辉煌,就是因为我们有了这么悠久的历史和丰富的民族经历,我们就更应该团结气来去努力实现中国的历史复兴.

如果他当初不纵容中国人民乱生小孩，就不会有今天的人口压力

那时候什么都靠人来做，现在不是在计划生育了吗，等到我们下一代的时候就有效果了

从短期来说（50-100年吧），他也许是功过各半。但放在中国的千年历史中，毛堪比秦皇、汉武，是一代天骄。

我认为是功大于过，是他领导了一个灾难深重的，受包括被很多人奉为楷模的美国等帝国主义的欺负的民族而屹立于世界的东方。
以前是帝国主义可以在中国扛着洋枪到处耀武扬威。后来有了49年炮轰英国军舰，那些英国绅士们居然偷偷逃跑了，全然不要风度。当年我们警告美国人不要过三八线，可他们过了，因为那时美国人看不起我们。后来我们说不要过十七度线，这下美国佬就很听话,因为他们想起了毛主席的教导：“错误和挫折教育了我们，使我们比较地聪明起来，我们的事情就办的好一些。”，说不过去就不过去。
有网友说中国不必要有核武器，哪位可以想象我们再回到义和团用大刀对鬼子门的洋枪吗，对一个国家安全来说，有什么比核保护伞更有效吗。
