"plug" can be a verb and a noun, too. Your sink comes with a plug(noun), right? It is easy to imagine who may have plugged a plug if you do not specify. Anyone who is not an idiot knows it is funny way of reminding an imcomplete and easy-misunderstood question.
Don't be too serious.

The thing is it is NOT easy to imagine in that way...we never need to mention that. Please ask an English friend to make sure which way is better.
At the same time, "The kitchen sink is clogged" can be understood even though it is not quite popular English.

Thanks for the reminding. "Clogged" is the word I learned from my superintendent who is a native english speaker and who fixed my sink problem. I have absolutely no objection if you use "plugged".
By the way, are u native english speaker? I just made a search in google use word "sink" and "clogged", here is what I found. It seems to be quite a popular word for sink problem.

I think we could end this topic. "clogged" is the right word to describe this situation. All the others may be understood by the superintendent, but they are not adequate. Especially, "plug", it's very easy to mislead to another meaning. Of course if the super is not a moron, he will not assume you plug it by youself.
By the way, I'm a building mechanical engineer and played with those stuffs all of my life. Trust me it's the right answer.

Hey, why are you so endless?
You said "clogged" is not a popular word, so I was trying to find out. I did not say "plugged" is an unpopular word, so why should I search "plugged" then?
If you insists that you are right, no problem, by all means, but keep it to yourself, I did not say you are wrong, it's just a bit misleading to me. Why can't other opinions exist? I have no problem letting you keep "plugged", why can't I support "clogged"?
You are very interesting person, if you want keep this meaningless argument going, no problem, but PLEASE PLEASE do not force others taking your opinion. Thanks.

I did not force you to do anything. Do whatever you want, but please do not be mad.
By the way, you are right, I am a very interesting person. Thanks.

我没有搀和啊 我是查了GOOGLE以后才这样说的. 好象"sink clogged"有30000多条, 而"sink plugged"有将近60000条哎. 而且第一条就是什么Fixing Plugged Sink or Lavatory Drains...好象没有什么MISLEADING哦.
很对啊, 所以"sink is plugged" 没有错啊. "clogged sink"也有30000多条啊, 只是没有"plugged sink"那么多而已哦.最初由 左突右闪 发布
即然已经到这份上了,就依你用GOOGLE 查了“SINK PLUGGED”。
这是其中的一个结果:
“Win a Vac Contest: April 2003 Winner
The Clogged Sink. A few weeks ago, I had a very stubborn plugged sink drain.
My lovely wife poured 4 lbs. of cooked pasta down the sink drain. ...”
就在第一页。
看清楚了。 是CLOGGED SINK。原因是他老婆把 4LB cooked pasta poured down the sink drain, PLUGGED IT。
解释清楚了吗?
