Yeah, as others side, 1.8T is not that powerful. but only a powerful engine is not enough for a good car. Remember saw a vido of BENZ AMG 500 VS. Audi RS6 VS. BMW M5. among the three, Benz has the most powerful engine, but it is the only one which didn't finished the snake turning and it ended with 3rd place.
With 1.8T, you can get 50 more HP by simply adding a new chip, plus you can also replace the exhause(10 HP more ?), replace the stock K03 turbo with the more powerful K04......
Audi's quattro is really really useful in Canada winnter, plus ESP, I alway feel comfortable driving in such a winter season.
If you really cares about the performace, go to A4 1.8T with super sport package, then chip it after break in.!
Of course, lexus has better reliability. My A4 is only 18000KM now,but I had to go to see the dealer twice and now my sunroof will open/close itself automatically :-(
