I believe only lincensed builder allow to built R2000 homes. At least Minto said they are the only one arround. Maybe it changed these days.

But I believe only builders on that list can build R2000 homes.
So no, richcraft can't.

No, Minto's regular houses are not R2000, I asked them when I was looking for my house.

OK, so I guess only R2000 builders can build R2000 homes, and only R2000 CERTIFIED homes can be claimed R2000 homes. Certification is likely to be optional, up to homeowners, at the time of signing agreement to purchase.

Even based on the claimed 25% saving on energy costs, say 25% of $3000/yr, it's going to take many years to recover the cost of building an R-2000 home. It is also said that R-2000 homes yield higher resale value, but probably not higher than the cost of building such home.
