2. Not easy to get very sharp photos. Maybe I should open up ISO a bit more and faster speed ? GangW, need your expert advice. I think I don't have a very steady hand and IS will be really nice. Just can't afford it.

fad: use the AI SERVO mode or sport mode for the moving subject. IS is very useful, and larger aperture is very useful. That's why XB IS is much more expensive than your xxb.

the pair of ducks are two male mallards, not wood ducks.
