i did the same thing at my company as CD did here
we don't have power to change our government, but I agree with the words in a TV program: we can't change the world, but maybe we can change a person's life.
I can understand that people won't trust any orgnization or anything in CHina. Maybe I am too simple, but I am lucky. I used to support a boy to finish his elementary school in CHina, and we talked by mail for a few years! I did it with the help of Xi Wang Gong Cheng.
Now I want to help an orphan in Hu Nan province, by OCEF (http://www.ocef.org). I just mailed them a cheque.
I am not sure if all my money will be used to help that little girl. I wish I am lucky too this time.
I wish I have time to do more research before I donate, but maybe it will be too late for that little girl by then...
I sent the similar pictures/link to all Chinese people I know in my company, asking if anyone would like to help a kid...
To "local" people here, I only send them those beautiful pictures about China...

我认为"皇室家族"中"靖王爷"能够摒弃他的皇室家族,站在穷苦劳动大众立场反映社会现实非常难得. 应该说他是极具同情心的.我们应该鼓励,有了这个良心和醒悟,中国就有希望.希望能有更多的皇室家族成员能够站出来想想.
中国确实在发展,但是也带来巨大的贫富差距.想想资本主义列强在资本主义发展初期,社会现状和现在的中国并没有太多差别.差别是这些国家中的一些上层建筑人士清醒得认识到贫富差距对社会安定的影响,从而在这些国家开展财富的第2次(TAX),第三次(WELFARE)分配.
中国是个有数千年东方封建王朝的历史的国家.靠起义造反只能会把社会搞得更加动荡,解决这些社会问题(贫富差距,民主参政等)应该靠'明君'和从皇室家族中分离出来的进步人士推动的自上而下的变革
希望有更多的皇室家族成员,加入"靖王爷"的队伍,来促进中国新的变法和维新.

There are ways to help alright, I just thought I'd throw out the question first, to see if we care or we really CARE.
I applaud your effort. What you did is exactly what I believe: "If I could just change one person's life"...

CD 老兄把这个东西贴出来了，我们看到了，就是对中国劳苦大众最好的帮助。你现在应该问你自己如何帮助他们。
很多照片看过了，但是还是有震撼的感觉。现在看起来中国很稳定，发展很快，但是潜在的危机以几何级数增长，如果现在不面对，总有一天，所有发展成果可能会毁于一旦。这决不是危言耸听，历代王朝都是在统治阶级空前富裕，劳苦大众异常贫困的时候被推翻的。
我想我们能做的就是为广大的中国劳苦大众呼吁，把他们的困境，委屈和艰辛一一展现出来，促使国家关注他们，帮助他们。共产党深知舆论的作用，也很重视舆论的作用。现在看来，促使中央关注腐败和贫富差距的最好武器就是媒体了，特别是互联网。
