请问一下, 我收到在一月份的公民考试通知.我本人已在国内工作.有没有可能考试,加拿大护照及中国的工作签证在一个星期内搞定.有没有注意事项?以何种理由申请加急更好一些?需要准备何种材料?谢谢.

Impossible. It takes around 2 months to recieve the notice of taking oath after the exam, and then you can apply for the canadian passport.

Oh,hehe,Man, you are in deep shit. Well, sounds like you can not get away with buying 2 return tickets from china to canada, Air canada is going to give you the best pessenger of the year. Ok, I have been through all this crap, it takes me about over half a year to get everything settled, but hey, I got passport first, then my job in china, then my work visa issued in HK, now you want to get it done in one week? Oh, Man, as i said you are in deep shit. Good luck!

That's horrible.

It takes around 2 months to get the oath notice after the test.
Another 15-20 days to get the Canadian passport and Chinese visa.

I don't know if it's worth to pay $3000-3500 CND for the canadian citizenship in your case.

从考试到宣誓：最快2--3周，一般1--3个月，慢点的有超过半年的。
申请加拿大护照：一般2周，有耽误的。
申请中国普通旅游签证：1--4天，
申请中国工作签证：不知道。

no big deal: just apply for deferring your exam or don't show up- I personally did if for 3 times in a row when I was in states, without any problem whatsoever-and then prepare for a half year leave from your present job for the exam and the oath ceremonie at your convennience.

I'm not that worried about your exam, but once you've gone thru the oath, it's not that easy for you to get a work visa from the Chinese embassy: there're a lot of hassles to go thru: I don't blame them for it becasue there'are just soooo many foreigners, including those taiwainese who are ripping the cream on the chinese job market.

if you've got a good job back in china, why bother yourself with this dual citizenship ordeal?
