Welcome to our Cats' House. Let TomCat guide you

screen-by-screen or travel quickly room-by-room, then follow TomCat

through all of the images within each room.

Our cats are at home more than we are.If possession is

nine-tenths of the law, then our place is truly the

Cats' House.

This is where our catwalk began. We wanted to visually separate our

dining room from the living room. Our solution was to construct a

floor-to-ceiling scratching post that would also provide support for

a suspended leaded glass window.

Our frisky felines found the room divider to be great

fun. Chasing each other down the hall, they would race over the

couches, dash up the column, travel across the support beam and come

to a dead end.

Literally, one thing led to the next. We added a second entry/exit

so thatour cats could avoid being cornered. Now they frolic on over

one-hundred feet of elevated home highway.

One of the first improvements that we made to our cats' house was to

openthe wall between our living and TV rooms. Asides from making the

space feel larger, it allows us to take shortcuts through rooms,

just like our cats.

The eternal question: Cats or possessions?

Sometimes you can have both.By mounting these porcupigs high on the

wall, the bite-tempting spines were taken out of cat's way.

:)

The top of our coat closet forms a centralized hub of

three pathways routed from the living and TV rooms, and hall.

Wherever we are, our cats want to be, too. Why display your latest

acrobatic maneuvers in a remote room where no one is around to be

impressed?

The twenty-three step, spiral staircase was designed to provide our

senior cat, Benjamin, with safe access to the catwalk. Racing up

floor-to-ceiling columns did not appeal to his mature sensibilities.

Once up, it was too difficult for him to get back down. He needed

stairs.

What to do? Watch your fur family live, or catch them on TV?

It's double the pleasure when you can see both at once!
;)
