“The Cats' House ” 一个猫痴写的书~ (完成了~细细)

The TV/reading room is our international

airport, with cats of all stripes and persuasions landing and taking

off at all hours.

Our sky is filled with holding patterns,

supersonic flights, and intermittent fur that floats in front of our

TV.

Thankfully, during the early stages of

construction, we learned an important design lesson. Never hug the

walls with the walkway. Turning around is awkward for less agile

kitties and nearly impossible for tubby tabbies.

It has been reported that cats sleep sixteen hours

each day. The remaining time is mostly consumed by eating and

grooming, allowing for few bursts of activity.

We thought it would be fun to make a cat climbing

column out of plush stuffed cats. Unfortunately, our kitties would

have nothing to do with it. In fact, they hated it! Sometimes, cats

have no sense of humor.

:(

Not all product designers do their homework. Some

place all of the "push-button"controls on top of the TV, forcing us

to enclose it in a box. Why? Everyone knows that cats are heat-

seekers. Our felines would nap on top of the TV, stretch, roll over,

turn the set on and off, change the channels, and raise and lower

the volume!

:p

Everything is shared, which may explain why visitors are hesitant

to accept offered food or drink.

The inverted triangle forms a natural hub for

activities, especially for dreamy cat naps.

A design tip::tip: When your wood snake is not long enough to add as

a finishing detail, cut it in half so both ends can protrude from

the triangle. Of course, if you don't want your snake to get stolen,

secure it!

A large, watchful TomCat cutout looms over the

TV/reading room. Tom was quite pleased to have a wall opening

modeled after his own image. Even his whiskers were cut out allowing

light to shine through them.

Enticing us to reach upward, our cats stay

temptingly out of touch. When we've lost all mobility in our blood-

drained fingers, they swiftly attack. It's not fair. They have the

advantage when we have an upper hand.
:monster:

Being careful to keep the 4" L-brackets level to each

other, we attached them to the wall with toggle bolts. Next the 2 x

6 Douglas fir board was screwed to the supports, making it ready to

support even the tubbiest of tabbies

After several days of wall prepping, plastering,

sanding, plastering, sanding, painting, hanging, and neon

installation, the flames were ready to engulf Joseph.

Once you accept color into your life (and cats

overhead), it's impossible to return to off-white walls (and felines

underfoot).

In a zigzag path, nineteen feet of ruby red neon lead our

cats down the hallway―through fiery flames to the golden pyramid of

Quetzalcoat.
