For the Owl shots, how do you manage to focus it befind the trees. Use manual focus ?

It's hard to say how many photos are good. I can say >80% usable, <1% perfect.

Thanks fad. I wish that I would have a vacation in Cuba.

Most of the time I do not use manual focus, but I have to use MF if AF does not work such as the case using 1.4X II on 100-400.

43, Shirley's Bay is beautiful. The great gray owl did not make me disappointed, but the weather at the day I took the pictures was not so good, cloudy, no sun. So I went to Shirley's Bay when I saw that the sky was sunny in the morning after two days. The great gray owl was waiting for me when I arrived there. The first owl's picture I took that day is here.
