Well, tell me if you allow family reunion for all those skill worker immigrants, then will that be fair for other skill workers who just apply (as their immigration quota will be decreased and they will have to wait for longer time).

Yes, but they will most probably pay more tax than parents, who will most probably use tax money than paying.

I didn't take their right of protesting. On the countary, I have said many times that I support they go out and voice their opinions.
But they have to understand the fact first.

Well, for those who want to get their parents over, won't you say it's not out of their own interest, but for others? Is that not called selfish?

There is no problem for people to think about their own interests.
But as the policy of a country, it should be based on majority's interests, not just a few.

这一向，看到这位在父母移民这件事上发了不少的议论，本来没什么，言论自由么。可今天你未免出言不逊了。

什么叫“rob and steal”？家庭团聚于个人而言是人权，于社会而言是民权。加拿大现行移民法在家庭团聚类别下明确规定了父母／祖父母具有的移民资格。绝大多数移民担保人，同时作为勤劳的纳税人，忠实地履行自己的承诺，供养父母，同享天伦。某些钻营之徒abuse社会公益系统，人共愤之，但这与大多数移民父母与儿女无涉。你把父母移民等同于“rob and steal”，你是在侮辱大家还是在侮辱你自己的智商？



倒要问问，你是从石头里蹦出来的吗？除非如此，你对纳税人权利和义务如此狭隘的理解才算有道理；否则，请问你如何回报父母和社会的养育之恩？

老人是否移民，说到底是一件非常私人的决定。申请来的是他／她的选择和权利，别人用不着说三道四；不办理的也谈不上是什么高风亮节，你为什么不办理自有你的理由。

说到纳税，很多正在担保父母移民的申请人无论从纳税年头到金额都未必会输给阁下。身为对社会有贡献的纳税人，自己合法的利益－家庭团聚－却不能得到合理的保障。一项Sponsorship的审核，过去一个月可得，现在时钟停摆，收了高额的申请费，２０个月不予处理任何个案，而且大有持续之势，这样无耻的官僚作风如何不反？面对北京已积压数千的父母类移民申请，将每年批准额度仅限定为１００，实际上否决了众多年迈申请人的机会，这样对移民法律的蔑视，如何能容忍？父母类移民政策也许确实需要调整，可是ＣＩＣ在此项移民政策的调整上所表现出来的无能，无耻，官僚和种族歧视嫌疑才是我们作为公民，移民和纳税人所真正不能容忍的。这也是为什么很多没有切身利益牵涉的人士也对此次抗议浪潮表示支持的原因。

说了些浅显的道理，希望某些网友静下来想想，以后少鸹噪几句。渥太华的华人网上社区，毕竟是和睦点儿好。

老人是否移民，说到底是一件非常私人的决定 Wrong. If it's your private issue, then your immigration should also be a private issue. Why should you have to apply through CIC, not juct pack your luggage and fly over here. Immigration is a policy of a country and this country and its majority citizens mave the right to choose who should come or not and when. Then you and your family can decide based on that policy if you want to come or not.

说到纳税，很多正在担保父母移民的申请人无论从纳税年头到金额都未必会输给阁下: I agree. There are indeed many tax payers who are good and honest citizens and they deserve to have their parents here. But just because there are many abuse cases and too generous social program, parenst reunion is becoming a big burden of the society. Until these problems are fixed or the social program being changed, it's not wise to still blindly have lots of aged people immgrated here. The government should be partially blamed for some of these problems, blamed for not fixing them, just but shuting the door to everyone. So I would prefer neither support nor reject family reunions, but sit down, think about it and provide some constructive suggestions
to the government for fixing the system and allow some parents immigrating here for those urgently need.

阁下这次还象是个说理的样子，不过说理的水平要提高。

阁下似乎有两个基本论调：

1）有人abuse社会公益系统，但是他们已经来了，没办法了，所以要对新申请人都进行有罪假设；
2）在没有想出对策之前，只能关起门来。

这其中的短识与混账逻辑不驳也罢，但是如果政府职能部门却也以此种思维行事，则非社会之福。事实是，CIC无视纳税人权益，不顾移民政策的公平性与连续性，以厚颜无耻的拖延掩盖它在政策执行和监督上的无能与无力。比如，如何加强对担保人履行义务的监督，几时见到他们在这上面用心?！ CIC现行的无限期拖延“策略”不仅不能解决由于加国内部体制与管理不力而形成的重重问题，反而是加剧了申请个案的严重积压，阻塞人道与效率，用一位网友的话是捡个最小最软的柿子来捏，以此回避其更重要的责任。这叫作缘木求鱼，饮鸩止渴！

为此类政策张目，不说你为虎作伥，遭人厌恶是难免的了。愿阁下省之！

我任为移民对加拿大的贡献不仅仅是那一点点税. 加拿大政府可不象你那样为了那一点点税而要移民. 它比你要阴险的多.

最郁闷的就是老人来了，嘿嘿，3-6个月后，就想回自己的老家了，一句话，啥都没家乡好！加拿大这鬼地方，没人唠嗑，没地儿遛弯，没地儿遛鸟。。。

您老们就郁闷去吧！

把老人撂在空空如也，天寒地冻的所谓福利天堂，这就是所谓的孝顺？
