NEW YORK, Oct 21 (Reuters) - Nortel Networks Corp. said on Monday it has signed a series of contracts valued at about $280 million to supply wireless network gear to China Unicom.
Nortel, one of the world's largest suppliers of telecommunications equipment, said it will provide CDMA 2000 1X (Code Division Multiple Access) digital wireless network equipment under the agreements.
The gear will be used to expand a series of networks, work expected to be complete within one year.
