我想给国内爸妈转一些美金,请问怎样转手续费最便宜?
我是在 Royal Bank的GIC,父亲在国内的中国银行有美金户头,而且也不等这笔钱用.

1) withdraw your GIC if possible
2) buy money order ($5 fee)
3) mail it back China ($10 postage)

Your parents can get it around one month.

There are other choices like wire transfer which is expensive, and I had bad experience in sending personal cheque back China.

What's the bad experience in sending personal cheque? Could you share? I am considering to send personal cheque back to China. Thanks

I sent it to my friend for his wedding gift.
But he told me that the bank of China charged him 80CAD for handling fee.
BTW: He is in Shenzhen, maybe different city is different.

That's too expensive. my parents asked Bank of China in Beijing at the beginning of this year, they said the fee is 0.1%(at lease 20RMB).

0.1% is reasonable, and it is what I heard from others 2.

我在国内的时候结婚我姐从美国给我寄的支票，到中国银行去，说要办一个托收，大概花了二三十元人民币，等了一个月左右，很简单的。但是不知道有没有charge我姐的钱，我在这里还没往国内寄过钱呢。
