Since we have get-together from time to time, and
sometimes lots of people are joining, here I have a couple of more suggestions for our get-together if you do not mind. This time, they are mainly for picking up food during the potluck lunch:
1. The "traffic" at the food area is preferred to be clear. It is suggested that people stay a little further away from the food area after they pick up their food so that they do not block the way of others who are going to pick up food. If possible, a couple of tables can be set near the food area for people to sit around and get together while eating. Besides, a separate area or a separate table may be set for kids as well so that they can enjoy their own time during lunch;
2. We'd better set an order for picking up food for the first round:
1) First, for all the families that join the potluck lunch, each family has one parent to come to the food area and pick up food for their kids only;
2) Then the seniors (grandparents) can come to pick up their food;
3) At last, the adults and youths can go and pick up the food.
Then after the above first round, anybody can pick up more food any time they want as they eat.
Hope this could help reducing both the "traffic" condition at the food area and the stress of picking up food for the family.

我 的 女 儿 今 天 早 上 发 烧 ， 体 温 38.6 摄 氏 度 。 。 。 我 好 失 望 她 不 能 参 加 Birthday 聚 会 ， 我 准 备 了 这 么 久 。 。 。
