I would have to say Subaru. They are know for making cars that travel where normal street cars can't, and their SUV has the single dependable suspention, 4 wheel drive and a very good ABS system, very very good to drive.

Ford Escape isn't a bad SUV, it can do all the things that subaru can, but ford don't put much of their tech into SUV engines, most of their tech goes into the tracks and race cars. They are both big, ford is bigger, and taller(more chance of rolling) which is a bad thing if you drive fast.

But if I was buying those cars, I would buy the Subaru, just because I know whats behind it.

谢谢啊！不知您对国内的行情了不了解，前一阵回国的时候试了New Ford Maverick3.0自动档和Forester 2.0X，Ford开起来的感觉要好一些，但Subaru的配置要比FORD的高，内饰看起来也好于FORD，价钱也比FORD便宜了不少。

All cars in china follow a different patten than here, american cars gets alot more reperstation in china than JDM cars. Because we chinese people hate japnese people, lol, its a fact. But I still have to say, JDM makes their cars alot better than american companys.

Hi, I'm gussing the elentra shouldn't be bad, but the prics is actually quite low. Do u know if it has power option? ABS? 6 air bags? sunroof and sound? All that could affect the prices. If just a base model, it might be a good buy, 2000 probly means warranty is up, u need to take it to a mechinic to check it out before buying, it cost about $60 to check it at local shops and it might save u alot of money later on.

The engine it uses is not bad, it has won awards, the car it self is nice inside, it is a great buy if there isn't any problems. Make sure u check the battary contions, and all the wires, genrators etc, cause engine shouldn't be bad, thethings breaks first are those things.

How about Mazda Protege SE

I want to buy Mazda Protege SE from my boss, 1.6L, A/C, CD, dual-airbag, year 2000, 69800km, current price is 8200. I was told this car is only valued at most 7000. This car is maintained very well and anti-rust treated. I could get all maintenance records from my boss. What do you think about it?

Hi, Beetles are a very safe car because of its dome design, engine is the same as the ones used in the VW jetta. I drive a jetta and the engine is perfect. They designed their engine to take in alot of pressure, which means it won't break easy. The 2.0L at 150K is just like a normal JDM car, means probly half way of its life spam, the 1.8T is also proly half way, the TDI at 150K really don't mean anything at all. Its a very reliable car, great for girls, guys is kinda.....yeah

I have to say, don't pay more than $8000. Don't get me wrong, the car you listed sound like a very good car. the protege is the first car I ever driven, and it is very realiable. 69800km is really nothing on JDM cars, anti-rust is a must every year, cost only $90 so you should do it too before the winter. I say ask for $7500 as a firm price and you most likly will have it, it is a great car, pertty good on gas, enough room to seat 4/5, ok size trunk, reliable, good buy.

Auto Auction Sold means the dealer bought this car at an auto auction, which means really nothing because all 2nd hand dealers but cars from auctions, its how they make money.

If its automatic, around $8000 should get it, if standard, should be under $7500. The engine is fine, half way through its life, its fine to drive as long you take care of it.

Look under the hood, see if there is any visible rust on the battary, atonator and the transmittion, if there isnt any, its a very good buy, if there are some, its best to get sandpaper and romve it then take it for rust proofing, its only $90 most the time.

It sounds like a good car, shoudn't have much problems with the engine, but make sure really test the transmission, rev it high and see and feel how it shifts.

i would like to get reliable transportation for work, now i am targeting Minivan. there is one Pontiac 1998, 131km, asking for $4500. the other one is 1998 Fort windstar GL, 110km, for $2500. can you give some advice from your experience and professinal knowledge please. thanks.

Hi, hum, I actually have no idea about american vans, as far as i know dodge carvan is cheap, very cheap, it is not reliable as all american vans are not reliable, for that price. I'm really sorry but I can't give you any info on it because really, I'm more of a car know how, van's i really don't have much glue.
