最近和dealer谈了个车,如题。标配主要包括:手动挡、ABS、tractioin control、电动窗、电热侧镜、电热座椅、前面的气囊等。option里面我们选了:自动挡、侧面气囊。总价含税MSRP为:25000,我们还下来1600多。不知道这个价钱合适不?我们不会还价:(

dealer建议作个终身rust inhibitor,499刀,贵吗?如果在Mr. Lube等做,效果如何?价钱呢?

因为车要order,和dealer有个agreement,一张黄纸,dealer说如果有项目或付款方式要改,提车前通知他们就行了,请问这样可以吗?没什么问题吧?

终身 rust inhibitor $499 may be no big difference with ~$100 underbody rust protection. When I bought a car the first time a few years ago, the dealer robbed me $800 for "whole protection". i found it's useless except the underbody.

If you haven't deposited any down payment, the yellow paper is ok.

Talk to 10 dealers you may get $2-3k lower than MSRP.

谢谢你了,我们会考虑考虑这个rust inhibitor的,我们也找了几个dealer,但是降价的空间都没有到2k-3k,如果到2、3k,岂不是比他们的invoice价格还要低?怎么才能讲到这么低的价钱呢?请教呀!
 
It is possible to get a price lower than the invoice. Actually the invoice is not the final cost of a dealer. It is a list price for dealer. Every dealer will show you an identical invoice price, but you can imagine a large dealer should get better final price than a small dealer could do.

Some techniques:

1. Contact dozens of dealers with email only at the beginning (some may ignore you but it doesn't matter).

2. Don't let them know who you are, and don't tell then what packages or options you want. Just ask them to quote the model (or trim) without any option.

3. Bargain with two or three who quotes lowest. Make use of the competition between them.

4. When you get the the lowest quotation, ask the dealer to add the options you want. It's easy to find the price for an option on Internet. e.g. http://carcostcanada.com/1/en/CarcostChrome.asp

5. Ask the dealer to apply discount at the end, if you are qualified for a special discount ( e.g. student, employee etc.).
 
Just check your model, MSRP is CA$18899, Options you select is $1470, Freight $1100, Total $21469, plus tax is CA$24689.35.

Your dealer is not honest. It asked you a price higher than MSRP, but told you $1600 lower! You didn't get even 1 cent discount, but pay a couple of hundreds bucks more.

If you haven't pay deposit, stop it and look around. You should be able to get it on road at $22K-$23K.
 
只是给楼主提个醒:
这时候买车,不如等一个多月等到新年后再买,那时会有很大的降价空间,这是我的经验。
如果是在campbell ford那里看的车,请不要相信他们。我也是在那里买的车,一部分原因是因为他们有个终身免费换机油的优惠。但真是因了那句老话:天下没有免费的汉堡包。基本上每次换完机油,都会出来告诉我说这里有毛病了那里有毛病了,多少多少钱。一开始相信了,修了几回。后来发现不对劲儿,头几天晚上在七号公路上开的,用了雾灯,这次进去换完机油,告诉我雾灯坏了。坏了就坏了,生气不修了。最搞笑的,我刚在“加拿大轮胎”买的雨刷换上的,这次换完机油居然出来给我说雨刷不好了,要换需要45块钱,我说刚买的才花了19.99,他立刻说forget that,把单子拿走了。
总之,我现在也不在那里终身换机油了,再换下去这车就完了。我临走时对那个fastlane 的经理说i won't trust you again,他说ok。这孙子。。。。
 
今年初的时候曾经路过CARLING的一家应该是GM的店看到在卖05款的BUICK新车,才13995,觉得很便宜啊
