Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Aviation Management
The Southeastern Oklahoma State University Aviation Sciences Institute invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position in aviation management, to begin on 1 August, 2008 at the SOSU facility on the Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) South campus.
The position is located on the OCCC South Campus in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Classes are held on the OCCC South campus as well as on Tinker AFB in Midwest City, Oklahoma. All classes are taught in the evening between 4:30 & 10:00 PM. during five eight–week semesters.
We seek candidates with an earned doctorate (or ABD) with a strong background in aviation management and/or administration. Expertise in aerospace logistics and research methods is a plus. Candidates with a master’s degree and ten years of aviation industry management experience will be considered. Candidates with significant commercial airline experience are highly desired as are those with graduate–level teaching and research experience. Primary teaching duties include both undergraduate and graduate level aviation management, aviation administration and aviation logistics courses. Secondary duties include student advisement, recruiting and scholarly research.
