大统华终于要在Ottawa开店了？！

就是，最好的是那里的厨房。菜都能看得见。不像到饭馆，点一堆你不想吃的菜。还便宜，弄个小炒，打包就走，没有小费，方便！

168店的位置不好，再加上只卖生菜不卖熟食，生意自然就差点。将来大统华处于交通要道－－HUNT CLUB，它仅次于QUEENSWAY，很多人上下班都要经过那里，又临近住宅区。最最关键的是，大统华商店大，经营范围广东西多，成品半成品样样有。开业后别说168这个小超市，恐怕连餐馆的生意都能抢走不少呢，所以我不认为在渥太华开业生意会冷清。

如果真开象多伦多那么大的店，相信不会以华人为主要客户群。

我认为没必要高兴太早，试想开店是为了争钱的。 不是为了大家高兴卖便宜货的。

如果开店的规模比利丰还大， 我觉得以华人为主要市场的话，早关门了。 现在那个地方位置在好，华人也没多少。 市中心的人 不会为了便宜半毛钱的东西，奔到那里吧。 再说，这里 半年是冬天，本来出门就不便宜。 如果以洋人为主， 有针对华人。或许有点特色。 可是， 以洋人为主的竞争性太大。 中国菜 老外不会搞， 洋人菜的 那里都差不多。 市场很难定位。

如果开店的规模类似利丰，甚至更小？ 相信也就是个小小 菜杂铺。 吃不饱，也饿不死。

Ottwa 的市区公交不比多伦多，蒙特利尔，比如地铁。 制约了人口的流动效率， 也 制约了商业的发展。

去大统华不是为了便宜，是为了购物的环境。多伦多和温哥华的大统华价格都比其他中国店略高一些。
利丰那样的店铺我去过一次就够了，没必要舍近求远。再说周末停车也不好找。但如果是大统华开在那个位置，我会常去的。

楼上上的有点小看OTTAWA华人的购物能力了.T&T虽然主要针对华人,但是在物品种类和质量上也不差SUPERSTORE什么的.购物就不用跑两三家店了.而且在OTTAWA除了学校的学生,还有很多工作的华人,特别是在KANATA,相信有个大停车场的华人超市比在市中心停车困难的超市吸引力更大.(同意楼上关于购物环境的观点)

The problem is that they can't identify real Chinese, Vietnamese and others asian countries people . They believe all the persons with asian face are Chinese.

Well, the chinese population in Calgary is around 54000, which is about double of the figure in Ottawa, and there are two T&T stores in Calgary... maybe this can justify that it is possible to have one in Ottawa?
Anyways, I think it is a good thing for us if they do open one store here. Why worry about if they are making money or not.
