In December, Richcraft actually adjusted price 2% to 3% already..

The sales lady expected in January the price would go up 1% to 2%, it turned out to be 5% - 6% based on the lot size...

It is just insane.

Feb 1st, it will go up another $5-10k

at Kanata Lakes, Richcraft homes.

At the sales office, there are prints of reports from Ottawa Citizen and Macleans to show that the price of Ottawa houses is below national average and has room to grow.

Of course, the sales person put there for reasons that favoring themselves.

Barhaven house price rising is also crazy.

Barhaven Richcraft new home price rised 50K+ in one month

Very Surprise!
The 50 foot lot single home prices rised between 55k~60k depends on the model just in one month. They are over 110k more than April 2007.

I really doubt this kind of new home price will be sustainable. I guess more people will choose the resale one. The prices are much more reasonable.

It is so wired!

It is hard to understand why the price increases so fast .

As I know, There are around 100,000 people move out Ottawa,and about 100,000 people moved in Ottawa in 2007.

So how come the price goes so fast? it is not about the people. It may be about the material and labour cost.

But it is not reasonable, So I believe it is the builders' games.

They can increase the price first, and then give you a discount. You may feel better. In fact, you pay more money at the same time.
