it is white!!! god damn it!!!

hahaha, that is me

stiffness is really a personal preferrence thing, you have to take in consideration with length, width, stance, height, weight, and of course the type of riding. Stiffer board means you need to try harder, and control better. The better you get, the more you will appreciate a stiff board (of course, not a stiff bastard)

I am not an experienced freestyle rider (I swtiched to terrain not long after getting into freestyle), so what I can say is very limited.

How many boards have you ever owned? I have only used one board so far. I am a newbie, as I only started last season, but I think I am pretty ok with it now. The years before last year, I was skiing. I love these sports, guess I am a goofy kind of person, never can really grow up with my age. Yes, maybe 18 till I die:)

I still don't get what you are saying. I watched some snowboard videos, those guys can really blend their boards and their boards seems very flexible. I can't blend my board so I guess I have to upgrade.

And free ski anywhere in the region at any time ... I would say it worth the effort.

I guess so. A night pass is indeed very limiting, as I can only go at Saturday night, whereas you can go on weekend daytime. :(

I had 4 boards so far, the first one is the knocked up brand LTD, then Burton, then 2 forums. You should be okay sbing by the end of this year.

No matter how stiff your board is, you can always bend it (if you really want to blend a $500 board ... be my guest :D) it is just harder to do that, and also harder to control the rebounce. It is all about the control YOU can do, not how much the board can help.

Define your type of riding first, then purchase the board. Try some demo boards, and do some research. Think about your stance and how hard do you want it to be? If you don't really have a rough preferrence yet, don't buy.

and I am 19+x years of exp :D

shame...shame......besides, there is no blender big enough to blend a snowboard either.............

Thanks for the advices.

OK, shouldn't get in your way of finding mm in this post......Good luck!

you would be surprised what a small blender can do :D hohoho, I think there is a website doing a bunch of videos of that :p

anyway, I enjoy talking about boards and stuff, it is fun :D ... with 250lbs, I really don't want to put too much stress on my knees, so that I can ride a few more years 30 years down the road :D

Just came back from the mountain. I was sitting in a lift with a patrol, who was a black guy (he was really enthusiastic in helping me finding my lost glove in the waist-deep snow, so it was not awkward when we happened to get to the lift at the same time and sat together.) He told me that his board cost $800, binding$ 400, boots $500. I dropped my jaw....wow, that guy is crazy in spending on snowboarding.......well, at least to me.....

so he probably doesn't give a crap about a $500 board.

this seems very good, possibly my next goal:
