Better to use raising bed. Buy some 2x6 or 2x8 pressure treated wood from home depot build a box. Mix topsoil, sheep manure and original soil in the box.

You can use redwoord. It is not goods as treated wood but better than regular soft lumber.

I use cedar for planting vegetables. Walmart has black earth for $0.99/25L bag, don't know if they are any good, I got some potting soil from Home Depot a couple of weeks ago for the same price.
