Well. There is nothing more important than family.
Question for yourself:
1) Do you have a job here? If no, I think you should take the oppourtunity.
2) Do you like Canada?
3) Does your rest of the family wants?

I personally think starting a business is well supported by all level of governements. Depends on the nature of the business, China might have an edge advantage.

I wanted to go back to HK and start my business, but I've ended up staying in Canada. The reason is HK is too busy for starting a business. If I work, 9-5 or 9-6 and OT. I will not have any energy and time to plan my business. I am single but you have family as well. You probably will have lesser time than me cause you have family to take care.

My 2 cents.

Thanks for sharing your views. Job is just a way make living, but only business probably will bring me the freedom either in Finance and in life style. So it is why I am not only look at what a position offering to me, but is there any chances I can build my business.

I agree with you about the nature of business. To me I am not interested in Resturant or other services business as a start point of here in Canada and I think there is more opportunities in the technologies. So, choosing China as a base of market is what I am going to do.

What I am concerened is kid's education and so on... Even though shcool education is still far away to him, but I can tell he might enjoy here than China.

完全个人意见

不知道你打算回哪里去？要是北京的话，我想你太太和孩子没有理由不跟回去。如果你是由这边的公司派回去的，住的地方应该是北京比较好的公寓（一般都在2000美元以上），孩子的学校有国际学校和加拿大学校，均为私利学校（只招收母语为英语的孩子，多为外交官的孩子），你可以自己衡量教育质量，每年学费2万美金左右，不过加拿大和中国的物价差，完全可以平衡这笔钱。年薪45万应该没问题吧。医疗上北京有20几家洋人医院，可以用各种保险（保险公司应该给买吧），都是各大医院最好的医生，一般精通各种语言，如果不信任国人医生，还有洋人医生。（我本人还是觉得国人医生更技术过硬）。不过在北京花多少钱也买不来加拿大的自然风光和空气质量，如果认为风景，空气很重要，那就没有办法了。完全在于个人感觉。另外，可以每天吃到可口的中国菜，不用自己做。
上海不清楚，应该好于北京吧。

If your kid is not attending any school yet, and your wife does not have a job here, you should go back to have a try. Otherwise, it won't worth.

Thanks guys! My wife has a job here which is good for her. That is another hard part. She is not quite sure if she can enjoy comparable life and work back to China. She is still in the school but I believe she would have good chances here and she knows that.

So I think you had better stay here, not for yourself but for your family.China is not a good place for a woman. I know most men can not resist the good chance in China but just think about what's your life for? For money, for family love? My husband also wanted to be back to China a few years ago when he lost his job but I encouraged him to stay with me. He got a job later and we got two kids now. Before in china we had a very good life , we had nanny, had good flat, went to restaurant every day, Now IN canada we feel life is too tough. BUt we are already here now and for long term I think Canada is better for the family, especially for the kids.
So if you go, let your wife and kids go with you. Never leave them here alone.That's unfair for them.

but the point is "after tax"...

i think it's really hard to find a job that is 7w "after tax" in canada...
