Board officials are trying to determine if public health or safety has been put at risk because of the strike, which has completely shut down regular transit service in the city.

If they determine the strike has affected public health or safety, they can order union members to provide some specific transit service during the general labour stoppage.

They are asking members of the public to make submissions on the issue. 当然有。 很多老人出门都是靠公交车的， 这下他们要自己走路， 不是每个人都有钱打的士的吧。 冰天雪地的， 走这么多路， 而且路上的车比平时多很多， 当然他们滑倒或者被碰的风险最大。

简直就太没人请味了，大冬天的，要老人小孩没公车座！ 上班到处塞车，那么多车在街上跑，废弃也成倍增长呢， 大大影响我们的健康。哎，一个首都，怎么政府连公车都搞不定呀。

这个是政府问题，本来这个是很正常可以legislate, Union让他们自己搞成这样也服了他们了，最初unionize他们的时候就没起草好，现在还搞arbitration简直就是马后炮。全成他们天下了。全是政府作为的。政府不管是关键，都忙着往自己腰包里塞。这个是计划好的阴谋，根本不是我们看的这么简单。他们的胡说八道的话全是设计好敷衍老百姓的。

The strike hurt a lot of businesses. I'm working in downtown, retailers are complaining - not much customers as usual. Commute time doubled for everyone. It is pain and nobody knows when it will end. Municipality shall step in right away.

The bus driver can choose staying at home without pay. The union only pays the member who goes to picket $50 a day. If the union pays every member, they would run out off money quickly, and we don't need suffer the traffic induced by this strike.
