要能放 dvd, 平时估计用的最多时候是上网。最好是笔记本。价钱心里没数，要千元以下，便宜点儿好。

It is not budget of 1k. It is 1k the limit. cheaper the better.

If you want cheap, get a refurb desktop for like sub $200 from Factory direct.

Is Factory direct a store? I won't buy online because waitting for the delivery is annoying.

Either laptop or desktop. It is for children to play anyway.

I'd buy a desktop, better and cheaper than a LT (to buy and to upgrade).

应该买Laptop， 轻一点的，家用旅游都方便。desktop虽然便宜一些，但是既将被掏太了。
不要买HP的laptop，可靠性质不行。
