父母五个多月前来加拿大探亲，给的多次往返的一年有效签证。可入关时，只给了半年居留时间。两个月前，想着延期的事，就个移民局打了个电话。移民官态度很和善地给我解释了一番。大体有两条：
（1）必须签证到期前申请。
（2）如果签证延期申请批准，新的签证从批准的日期算起。
移民官还给我发了伊妹儿：
1. You must send an Application to Change Conditions or Extend Your Stay in Canada as a Visitor to the Case Processing Centre in VegrevilleAlberta, , before your current status expires. The application is available on our Web site.
You can fill out the application on-line and print it or print it and fill it out by hand.
2. You can stay in Canada legally until you receive the decision, even if your current status expires before then.
也怪我懒，没有到移民局的网站上看一下，现在才上去下载打印申请表。不看不知道，一看吓一跳。
If your current temporary resident status is still valid you can apply for an extension of your stay providing you apply at least 30 days before the expiry date of your current status.
现在只有一个星期的时间了，真不知该怎么办？！请各位以前遇到同样的情况的是否给个主意。谢谢！
