I like Platina but the straight stairs facing the door,but the local people seems not mind.

i guess fenshui says, if that straight stairs is very close to your front door, then it could be a bad thing ( i saw a model house in soho west like that, you open the door, the stairs face you right away). if you have enough space between the straight staircase and your front door, the impact should be minimized, energy can flow easily around.

i am not an expert on fengshui so please do your own research...

Phoenix Home Price Questions

After taking a look at models from different builders, anyone knows why Phoenix home prices at Kanata are such low comparing to Richcraft and Urbandale? Is there any hidden fee we don't know? It is not a just little difference, it is actually a lot! see below, seems like 25 to 30% cheaper ..

Phoenix: Yarmouth: 3446 - 3453 Sq. ft. — 50 ft. lot Priced from $515,000

Richcraft: WILDWOOD A, B 3375/3610* - 50 ft. lot price from
$665,900

Urbandale: Riverside III - 08: 3440 Sq. ft - 50 ft. lot Price from
$651,900

I had a chance to know the guys who installs doors/shelves/mirrors for this construction site and they can supply/install french doors to replace original mdf doors. they can also supply you the special shoe moldings phoenix used in the house (which is actually lower door stopper) if you need do your own hardwood floor without removing the baseboard. they also told me they can supply/install crown moldings for a very good price. if you are interested, i can qqh you the contact.
they installed the french doors for me for my office, master bedroom, and door to basement. very satisfied. free advertisement for them

A question about the entrance half wall cap of Cheasapeake Model.

I took a peek into "my" house and saw the entrance half wall cap is white. While choosing the upgrade items, I asked for oak cap with the same tone of stair railings. Tresh said the default is Oak so no need to be upgraded.
How about other Cheasapeak owners? Yours is oak with the same stain/tone as railings or white painted?
