Just installed my winter tires at tiredirect for $80 all inclusive.
The shop looked pretty crappy though, don't want to go again. but the technician were very nice. I learned something about car from them.

I had winter tires installation at Costco, Walmart and dealer without any problem in the past. However, I do not recommend to go to Canadian Tires because there is a potential conflict of interest. Canadian Tires may sell you expensive and non-necessary repair service on other parts of your car at the same time.

Costco and Walmart don't have mechanic service.. In the worst case, they will sell you oil change service only (which is not bad).

It is similar to running shoes vs. snow boots.

I used to wear running shoes and walked carefully in winter for over 10 years. However, once I tried the snow boots in the snowy winter, I could feel the difference and I prefer to wear snow boots in winter from now on.
