The reason that people buy insurance is for protection. Some sellers are confusing and misleading people to worry about giving their own money to their kid, or to concentrate on making a profit out of it. When people buy car insurance, they want to protect themselves from accidents and liabilities. No one buys car insurance in order to make mony (fraud is the exception). Life insurance is along the same line of thinking.
