How do you set a post with QUIKRETE® Fast-Setting Concrete Mix?
Dig a hole that is about 3 times the diameter of the post with a depth of 1/3 the overall post length. Position the post and check that it is straight. Pour the QUIKRETE® Fast-Setting Concrete Mix dry from the bag into the hole until it reaches 3 to 4" from the top. Pour water onto the dry mix and allow it to soak in. Add water until the powder is thoroughly wet. This will take about one gallon of water for each 50 pound bag depending on soil conditions. If the hole is deeper than 2 1/2', do the operation in lifts of no more than 2 1/2' each. Fill the remainder of the hole with soil or the sod dug from the hole.

Q: How can I set my post without mixing the concrete with water first?
A: Sakrete Fast Setting Concrete Mix can be used for this application by digging the hole to desired size. Place approximately 2 inches of gravel at the bottom of the hole then fill the hole 1/3 with water, place the pole and pour or shovel the Fast Setting Concrete Mix into the hole adding more water and dry mix until hole is full.
不过我认为先加水很难保证水能渗透到每个地方。粉尘的表面张力是很大的,搅拌过水泥的人都知道。
所以在上面的操作指南里,它强调每次不能超过2 1/2“高。这点很重要。操作起来很难保证。
