Is Dr. Albert Tang clinic still open?

Hi, all

Has anyone had a visit to Dr. Albert Tang clinic at 293 Maclaren St these days? I heard he is going to retire at the end of year and I called his office a few times to confirm my appointment tomorrow but no one answered.

If you have information, please let me know whether he is still working now or already retired.

Closed on Dec. 21, this year. You will receive a letter notifying you that your profile is saved at a document center and you can get it transferred after you find a new family doctor.

Why does Dr Tang only give such short notice? I made lots of calls yesterday and tried to find a new family doctor, but nobody accept new patient. What the Dr. does is the common way?

There were 2 language versions of the retirement notice I read from Dr. Tang's office. Chinese version said Dec. 21, English version said the end of this year. It is better to call the office to confirm before you go there.
The reason why I thought Dec. 21 was the closure day is that I have already received the notice from that document center right before Christmas. Our files should not go there before the office closes if my logic is correct...

BTW, if you ask the nurse, she will give you the contact information of clinic(s) accepting new patients in your living area.

It didn't work. She gave us 3 names, all of them don't accept new patients. I don't think giving us two weeks notice is enough to find a new doctor. I'm really disappointed with what dr Tang did. It may ruin his 35 yr reputation.
