Perhaps the greatest tribute paid to Lt.-Gen. Chester Hull during a lifetime of accolades came from his Second World War tail gunner. More than 40 years after the end of the war, Fred Passmore scribbled a note on the back of an old photo of their Lancaster bomber crew.
