Come and hear two prominent members of the Asian Community talk about their experience as children of Asian Immigrants. The Honourable Michael Chong, M.P. (莊文浩) was first elected to Parliament in 2004. As cabinet minister, Michael served as President of the Queen’s Privy Council, Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister for Sport. He was raised in a bi-racial family by a Chinese father and Dutch mother in a rural area near Fergus, Ontario. Sunny Uppal, M.P. grew up in an Indo-Canadian family in Markham, Ontario. He shares endearing stories of his family’s diversity, and how this is tied to Canadian values and his career goals.
