Weather can’t halt wedding proposal

Eric Chenier was relieved when his longtime girlfriend’s flight finally arrived Sunday at the Ottawa Airport — and even more relieved when she accepted his marriage proposal. Chenier, 30, of Gatineau, had been waiting nervously for Sonia Leblanc, 25, to return from Africa by way of London. As she walked through the doors an hour late, Chenier held up a sign reading “Will you marry me?” in French.
