The latter part of what you said made a good point, which touched the essential part of various "religions". Yes, they trust in something, but wrongly. What they trust in is wrong, and the way they show their trust is wrong, too. But how would this happen? It's Satan's work. (We can talk about this in more detais later.)

In fact, just days ago I talked with a friend about the Moslem behavior. I was just wondering: how could they believe they could go to "heaven" by killing others - the so-called "holy war"? They don't value the others' life; nor do they value their own. That's absolutely against God's order, the Ten Commandments, as below.

(Note: God could have done the same for the "Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil" in the first place and would thereby have prevented the Fall of man, the necessity for Salvation, the Crucifixion of Jesus, etc.)
GE 4:2-8 God's arbitrary preference of Abel's offering to that of Cain's provokes Cain to commit the first biblically recorded murder and kill his brother Abel.
GE 34:13-29 The Israelites kill Hamor, his son, and all the men of their village, taking as plunder their wealth, cattle, wives and children.
GE 6:11-17, 7:11-24 God is unhappy with the wickedness of man and decides to do something about it. He kills every living thing on the face of the earth other than Noah's family and thereby makes himself the greatest mass murderer in history.
GE 19:26 God personally sees to it that Lot's wife is turned to a pillar of salt (for having looked behind her while fleeing the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah).
GE 38:9 "... whenever he lay with his brother's wife, he spilled his semen on the ground to keep from producing offspring for his brother. What he did was wicked ..., so the Lord put him to death."
EX 2:12 Moses murders an Egyptian.
EX 7:1, 14, 9:14-16, 10:1-2, 11:7 The purpose of the devastation that God brings to the Egyptians is as follows:

I am just wondering- no offending- how could you spend more than 20 years in the church without knowing God or feeling His love? How could this happen? Haven't you seen the numerous beautiful testimonies in your life? Admittedly, all the Christians in the church are not perfect; we are not perfect because we are sinners. But we are trying to be like Jesus Chirst-to live out Jesus in our life- with the help of Holy Spirit in our heart. I believe there must be many people who're praying for you. May God touch your heart.

the reason is very simple. god doesn't exist like tooth fairy. If you understand how you dismissed so many gods but your own, you'd understand how I dismissed yours. In a way, you are an atheist as well, i simply believe one less god, your god.

no matter how good or how evil you think god might be, it simply doesn't exist. In fact, all the evil and good argument, morality argument, cosmological argument, and a lot more are actually circumstantial. They are secondary, not primary.

Of course, a badly written, violence filled bible doesn't really help.

IT IS a shame that you do not understand that god doesn't exist and praying is futile. It is also disturbing that you could choose to ignore the barbaric, antiscience, antihuman nature of the bible and believe in this closed minded self-righteous monotheistic faith. I not only know God's love, but I've experienced His love. I have the best friend, Jesus Christ, in my life; you don't know how HAPPY I am. (As filthy as I, I don't deserve God's love!)
I also experienced God's teaching, when I did something very wrong; He forgave me when I cried to repent. I am so grateful!!! (How I wish I didn't do the wrong things!!!)

I wish you, and all the other friends, could know God and have Jesus in your life. You couldn't be happier then.

people experience lots of feelings, which says nothing about the existence of the underlying object, in your case, your god. A muslim could feel the love of their god or Mohamed, probably even stronger. A hindu can feel the passion of many gods or goddess. A falungoner could certainly feel the love of their master Li. A mentally ill person could feel even more godly objects that make them happy. Ask a mentally challenged person, you'd know what I mean.

your experience boils down to one point - Delusion certainly makes some people happy, it is still a delusion nevertheless.
